As an HR Consultant - Compensation you will have the opportunity to participate in several key initiatives advancing the organization’s strategic plan. The major purpose of this position is to serve as an expert compensation resource within the Human Resources Department and for client assigned groups throughout the Medical Center. This role is central to planning, designing, assessing and improving compensation processes and programs to meet the fiscal, patient care, research and teaching needs of Cincinnati Children’s.
Education/Work Experience
Required:
· Bachelor’s degree required
· Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible and complex professional experience within a Human Resources
· Human Resources certification (CCP, SPHR) within 18 months of employment.
· Advanced knowledge of Human Resource Information Systems
· Advanced knowledge of Excel
Preferred:
· Masters degree
· PeopleSoft experience
· Access Database experience

- Administer employee benefit programs such as group life, medical, dental, accident, and disability insurance, flexible spending accounts, FMLA, and pension and employee savings plans.
- Independently resolve escalated (“tier 3”) issues from outsourced providers.
- Maintain and manage relationships with vendors.
- Ensure data integrity with all vendors, outside administrators, auditors, consultants, etc.
- Benchmark and analyze Veolia benefits against outside sources. Make recommendations where appropriate.
- Assist with coordination of Total Reward efforts including solicitation of employee opinions, involvement in developing and rolling out employee reward and retention programs, and serving as a visible representative of HR.
- Responsible for health, welfare and retirement annual tax filings including 5500s and PBGC filings. Also responsible for subsequent Summary Annual Reports and their distribution.
- Assist with implementation and distribution of ongoing employee communication materials.
- Ensure nondiscrimination testing and annual benefit audits for retirement plans are completed. Justify and recommend plan design changes if need be to ensure passing results.
- Special projects as determined by management to enhance Veolia’s standing as an employer of choice.
